The appellate process in New York is highly specific to each Department. Join Eric J. Kuperman, Esq. and John McGorty as they discuss Civil Appeals being perfected in the New York State Appellate Division, First and Second Departments in this informative CLE presentation. They will begin by focusing on filing the Notice of Appeal and how to properly time the filing. They will expand on what documents to include in the Record/Appendix and the requirements for one’s Brief.  They will conclude by briefly discussing oral arguments and perfecting appeals at the New York State Court of Appeals, New York State’s highest Court.

During this course, Eric and John will be joined by PHP client Stephen Preziosi who will discuss brief writing and oral arguments in more detail.
