Public Notice Regarding Publication of Judicial Panels

Commencing on January 24, 2020, the Appellate Division, First Department will publish the composition of judicial panels on the Friday before oral arguments that are scheduled to take place the following week. After publication of the names of the Justices on each panel, adjournments will not be granted absent extraordinary circumstances.

Public Notice Regarding Oral Argument Sessions

Commencing with the January 2020 term (January 2, 2020), and until further notice, the Appellate Division, First Department will be reducing the number of oral argument sessions from three per week to two per week, except as otherwise indicated by the Court’s calendar.
