Once Initial Case Information is recorded, the Appellate Division (through NYSCEF) will assign a Case Number via direct email to the registrant together with a link to the Notification of Case Number form. The attorney must complete this form, serve it upon the adversary and then upload the Affidavit of Service under “File Proof of Service of Notice of Case Number” link via NYSCEF. This completes the appellant’s initial obligation and puts the onus upon the Respondent and Other Parties to enter their own contact information for the appeal at issue.
