The App. Div. rules require it to be completed within 14 days of filing the NOA in the lower court. That said, even if beyond the 14 day period, attorneys should do it asap so that when it comes time to perfect the appeal, a case number is assigned and the appeal may be properly perfected via NYSCEF. Failure to record the case info via NYSCEF will prevent the appeal from being able to be perfected.
